Grandpa Dick, he was my pirate grandpa- having many tattoos all over his arms - this was my first thought when i met him as a young child. I remember watching movies and eating candies every time I went to visit him at his apartment in Gardner. He loved Christmas, cats and dogs, he loved chocolate which is something we had in common. He was a friendly man, a nice man. One of the first times I took my daughter Bailey to meet him he watched her sleep and touched her new soft cheeks. He loved babies. He will be missed. Love to Wade and my mom. Love from Brandy, Jason, Sawyer and Bailey Lefsyk

Richard was my father-in-law for over 20 years. I have lots of special memories of him. He came out on most holidays to our house, Christmas being his favorite. He would have presents wrapped and waiting every year in his bedroom by July awaiting the next Christmas. Now thats spirit! He loved our dogs Shera & Hooligan and our cats too which he would buy cases of cat food for. Dick liked little kids a lot and he was inseperable from his grandson Nathan and took him everywhere all the time. He made many home movies of Nathan and Brandy his granddaughter. Richard loved chocolate cake and candy and especially chocolate pudding pie with real cream every holiday I had to make it for him. We went to the Ferncol Fair with him every year for clam chowder and to King Richards Fair too. If we went on vacation he would babysit our pets and tomatoes. I remember him spending a whole day helping to redo Brandy's bedroom and working on my old decrepit potting shed because he knew how much it meant to me. I will never forget all his many acts of kindness. Wade and him had a great close relationship, the kind all fathers and sons should have. I will miss him very much and will end with saying one of his favorite sayings, He was a real Corker! It always made me laugh.

I worked at L&Z Kamman Co. after school around 1968. I still remember his sense of humor and that one of a kind laugh. He was a fun guy to be around.

Dearest Wade and Sharon, The funeral service for your father today was very special and we are glad that we were able to be there for you. We had the pleasure of meeting Richard on several occasions at your home and he was always friendly and obviously enjoyed the company of his family very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Shannon and Tom asked that we send thier prayers and best wishes to you. We love you very much, peace and God bless you, Anne and Brian.

My dad was my best friend. He was the most caring, loving and giving person I have ever met. He loved his family and adored his grandchildren. For those of you who took the time to visit him during his declining years, thank you. It meant everything to him. In the end, Parkinsons consumed him. The last year of his life was, by far, the most difficult. He finally gave up the fight for his life on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Although he was not a church going man, he was a believer. Having been baptised in his youth and confessing our Lord Jesus Christ as an adult, he was redeemed and taken home by Christ. What an honor to have known and been in the presence of such a great man!
